Hello Eris Blog Hop

Hello Crafty Friends!

Welcome to the Little Blue Button Stamps 'Hello Eris!' Blog Hop!  My blog is the 2nd stop on the hop, if you have not visited Sybil's YouTube channel, that is where you need to start.

Olga has created this absolutely adorable character named Eris.   She is so cute and has a pet dragon!!  Oh my!

Isn't she just adorable???  I printed out the digi image, colored it in with my Copic markers, added glitter, Glossy Accents, and then cut her out with my oval Spellbinder dies.

I decided to make a hot cocoa sleeve.  All you need is a coffee sleeve from your favorite Coffee shop, cover it with pattern paper, add some distress, and glitter and you have a great canvas for making a fun project!

Eris was popped up on dimensional adhesive and decorated with punched snowflakes, paper flowers a small tag, punched greenery and of course some butterflies!  I thought it turned out very cute!

Here are a couple close up detailed images:

Little Blue Button Stamps Guest DT spot for July - Project 1 & 2

Olga at Little Blue Button Stamps (LBBS) asked me to be a guest designer for July.  I had the opportunity to use 3 of Olga's new stamps for July.  Today I am going to show you 2 of the projects I made.

Project #1:

I printed this image out on some 80lb Blending Cardstock from Paper Accents.

I colored her using my Copic markers.  She was so much fun to color!
I made a standard A2 size card and used My Mind's Eye Paper (sorry, but I cannot remember what collection it is from).  I stamped the sentiment from a My Creative Time stamp.
A project would not be complete without ribbon, butterflies or Stickles :)

Project 2:

I colored this cutie using my Copic Markers.

The paper bag was purchased from Etsy.
I used the Fabulous paper collection from Simple Stories.
I added some paper flowers from my stash and some retired brads from Stampin' Up.  Finished off with a stamped image using a My Creative Time sentiment
This was a fun project!!
Thanks Olga for the opportunity to design for you!

Thanks for stopping by!  I am going to try to be a better blogger :)

Happy Easter

This blog has been neglected for several years now...it is time to get back in the saddle and actually start posting again.
I will start by wishing you all a wonderful Easter!

The link below will take you to my YouTube channel where you can see my latest project, a double pocket card.

I used a tutorial from Splitcoast Stampers, which can be found here.  You should give it a try...super fun card to make!

The stamped image is from StampersBest.  They have the best stamps and customer service.  Shipping is free over $35.00 and if you use the coupon code: twinz4me2, you will receive 10% off your order (before shipping).  It is a great deal!

Stuck on Stick Pins

I have been loving the videos and photos of the beautiful stick pins people have been making.  As I was working on making some stick pins this past weeken, it dawned on me that I could add a punched element (butterflies, of course!) to the stick pin.  Here is the result:

I love how they turned out!  The butterflies were created by punching cardstock with the Martha Stewart classic butterly and monarch punches.  I added beads and a flower from iamroses.com to the front.  They turned out super sweet.

You can visit my You Tube channel to check out the video where I show the pins and the card.  It is my first video, so ignore the bumbling silliness of it all :)

Here is the card I made with one of the stick pins:

Have a fantastic day!
Until next time...

A Coffin Mini

My favorite Friday night activity is watching Laura Denison make amazing paper crafts.  This past Friday she made a Coffin Mini album.  Oh...how fun!!  You can catch her UStream classes on Friday nights, 7pm (Pacific Time), there is a link to her UStream channel on her blog.

Here is my coffin:
I went for a more pretty look, than scary.  The hand is from a little party favor pack I bought at my local grocery store.  The lace was gathered to give the impression of a sleeve/cuff.  Roses from I Am Roses adorn the corner along with a Maya Road stick pin from my friend Michelle.  The center panel is a piece of chipboard I painted with black acrylic paint and then applied a heft coat of Crackle Accents.  Around the perimeter of the box, I added 1/2" ScorTape and applied ultrafine black glitter for some sparkle (ok...it is actually to cover up a mistake, but you can't tell!).

Here is a close up of the decorative elements:

Have a fantastic rest of the week!

Boo!

I made this little mini album from Basic Grey's Errie collection.  After watching Marion's video, I just had to give it a try.  Prima flowers adorn each page, they are such a yummy orange color...love them!  Thickers were stamped and covered in Crackle Accents.  The Martha Stewart bat punch saw some action as I used it multiple times on each page.  Each tag has tule and netting tied at the top.
All in all it was a fun mini to make.  I was quite proud of mysef for completing the project!
Here she is:
My goal:  work on more artistic photographs.

Until next time...Happy Craftin'!
